Neidig Elementary School commemorated Veterans Day with a heartfelt program designed to honor local Veterans and strengthen students’ understanding of service and sacrifice. Veteran family members and friends were invited into the school for an afternoon of recognition that included refreshments, guided visits, and opportunities to engage with students.
A highlight of the event was Neidig’s “Hall of Honor” a display featuring photos and stories submitted by families to honor the Veterans in their lives. The tribute served as a powerful visual reminder of the courage, commitment, and impact of those who have served in the armed forces.
Throughout the day, Veterans visited classrooms to speak with students about their military experiences. Their stories offered valuable lessons in patriotism, leadership, perseverance, and the importance of service to others. Students asked thoughtful questions and gained a deeper appreciation for the men and women who protect and defend our freedoms.
