What is an "Critical Thinker?"
A “Portrait of a Graduate” is a vision developed with input from teachers, families, students, and community members. It identifies the skills and attributes our students need to succeed in school and beyond.
Throughout the year, we’ve had the privilege of recognizing our students each month who have exemplified a key skill outlined in our "Portrait of a Graduate". At this month's School Board meeting, students were recognized and nominated by their teachers for their problem-solving skills in grades K-2. Specifically, students who demonstrated:
Curiosity
Creativity
Strong Foundation in critical thinking
Perseverance
Pride in Learning
In our Middle Schools, staff members voted and chose these wonderful problem solvers for being:
Innovative thinkers who assess situations from various angles
Displaying Perseverance
Developing Practical Solutions
Taking Risks
Congratulations to all our "Critical Thinkers" recognized this month. We hope your eagerness to to take on challenges and break down complex problems grows! Thanks for taking problem solver to the next level!
