We are so excited to invite you to our 5th annual Family Learning Event on Tuesday, April 14, 2026! On the same night as our book fair, this event includes many literacy and math activities for students in grades K-5!
This is a free, open-house-style event, where families come and go throughout the 6:00-7:30 pm window. No RSVP necessary.
This night will feature a variety of stations for games, special guest readers, and fun snacks. You can also read to one of our visiting therapy dogs, sign up for a public library card, learn about our Language Learners program, and more! We will have plenty of door prizes to give away as well! You won't want to miss this!

From mentoring future school leaders to fostering inclusivity in our school communities, we are grateful for your dedication to our students, staff, and parents. Thank you for shaping our school culture and fortifying our entire school community from the inside out!
Today, and every day, we thank Dr. Kenyon for her unwavering commitment to our Neidig Elementary!

At "Meet the Instruments Night" your child will get to try out their top 3 instrument choices before you enroll in the program and get an instrument for them. Parents will also learn more about the QCSD band and orchestra program, get to meet the teachers, learn about instrument rentals, and ask any questions.
You must pre-register for this event, so we will know our anticipated attendance and can provide the correct amount of supplies (mouthpieces, reeds, etc.).
Please click the link below to register:
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfp6cv8KWKc_RzqztqbtccME9wXF0wfzLUHlRczFxORMjmIcw/viewform
*Registering for “Meet The Instruments Night” does not enroll your child in the program. It simply allows the students an opportunity to try out the instruments before you rent, purchase, or borrow an instrument.
If you have questions, please contact your school’s music teacher. Visit qcsd.org/music and click the CONTACT page to find their contact information.
There’s an instrument for everyone, we just need to find the right fit for your child!

Thank you to Neidig 3rd grader Odessa for sharing her book recommendation, "Enchanting Creatures,” by Camilla De La Bedoyere.
“I really like this book because you can learn all about animals!” said Odessa. When asked what her favorite animal and part of the book were, Odessa replied, “My favorite animal is the kiwi, and I really like the beautiful pictures of the animals in this book.” She happily shared a vibrant photo of a peacock. She also shared that she loves animals and wants to be a zoologist someday, getting lots of practice taking care of her hamster, “Squeak,” and her kitty cat, “Waffles.”
Thank you, Odessa, for sharing “Enchanting Creatures” with us and for your love of animals. Happy Read Across America Week!

Thank you to Neidig Elementary 2nd grader – Liam – for sharing his book recommendation, "Days with Frog and Toad,” by Arnold Lobel.
“The book is about two friends, Frog and Toad, and all the adventures they have,” said Liam. He was extremely excited to share that he received his book from Neidig’s Book Vending Machine.
Each elementary school in QCSD has a special book vending machine thanks to the Quakertown Community Education Foundation. Instead of snacks, students earn books by receiving coins for demonstrating PRIDE—Perseverance, Respect, In-control behavior, Dependability, and Effort.
Keep up the great work Liam, and thank you for sharing “Frog & Toad” with us.
Happy Read Across America Week Neidig Elementary!

To top it off, Maybel even dressed up as Chi for “Dress like a storybook character day.”

Today, we would like to thank Kindergartener Seven for sharing her book recommendation, “Snowmen at Night,” by Caralyn Buehner.
“My favorite part is when the Snowmen come to life and have a snowball fight!"
The perfect winter bedtime story for you and your reader! Thank you, Seven, for sharing this wonderful book with us!
We want to provide an update regarding tomorrow morning’s forecast. AccuWeather is predicting a wintry mix, with ice expected on untreated surfaces until road temperatures rise above freezing around 9:00 a.m.
Due to these conditions, the QCSD will operate on a two-hour delay on Tuesday, March 3, 2026.
Please drive safely!

For Monday, students are encouraged to dress up as their favorite storybook character! From classic fairy tales to modern adventures, we can’t wait to see our hallways filled with creativity and imagination.
