Maddie Hanna, the newspaper's education reporter, was invited to visit the school by Superintendent Dr. Bill Harner.

A reporter and photographer from The Philadelphia Inquirer visited Neidig Elementary School Monday for a follow-up on her story about the decline in PSSA achievement across Pennsylvania schools after the COVID-19 pandemic.
Superintendent Dr. Bill Harner has spoken with Ms. Hanna, The Inquirer’s education reporter, several times and invited her to visit the school.
“This is a wonderful opportunity to share the amazing practices occurring here at our school,” Principal Scott Godshalk said. “This is a great opportunity to highlight our team and our effective practices. We are doing great things, and others deserve to know how hard everyone is working!”
Ms. Hanna and photographer Bill Cain stopped by several classrooms and spoke with educators as time allowed.
